Mrs. Jereme Keren Agyemang has joined the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) as Programme Manager at the Centre’s Kofi Annan Enterprise Hub for Agricultural Innovation (KAEHAI).

Mrs. Jereme Keren Agyemang

The goal of the enterprise hub, inaugurated in October 2018, is to drive innovation, new product development and adoption for the transformation of agriculture and foster entrepreneurship and youth employment in Ghana. KAEHAI has so far rolled out two initiatives: Conversations on Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship involving key stakeholders in agricultural innovation and development and the Global Start-Up Lab Entrepreneurship Programme in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to help students and budding entrepreneurs develop innovative ideas in solving major issues facing agriculture and agribusiness. Jereme will spearhead the development of a strategic plan for the KAEHAI to connect decision making with a shared vision.

Jereme graduated from the University of Ghana in 2011 with first class honours in BSc. Agriculture (Agribusiness) and obtained her MSc. in Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. She previously worked as a Senior Taxpayer Services Agent with the Canada Revenue Service.  In 2013, she did a six-month stint as a Research Intern at WACCI.

“I’m excited to be joining the WACCI team and I’m looking forward to fostering great partnerships under KAEHAI”, she said.

In her free time, Jereme enjoys sewing, listening to music and has recently taken an interest in gardening.

WACCI is excited to have Jereme on board and wishes her the very best in delivering her tasks.
