11 WACCI MPhil Students Graduate from the University of Ghana

Eleven students from the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) have graduated from the University of Ghana at a ceremony held on February 11, 2025, at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana.

The graduating cohort consists of nine males and two females from three African countries—Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. These students undertook WACCI’s two-year programme in Seed Science and Technology which involves coursework, industry training and research work . They have been equipped with the expertise to address critical challenges in seed systems and contribute to agricultural development across the continent.

This cohort brings the total number of MPhil graduates at WACCI to 59, comprising 39 males and 20 females. Since the inception of the programme in 2015, WACCI has enrolled 110 students from 13 African countries. 

WACCI congratulates all the new graduates and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
