Eric Yirenkyi Danquah, Professor of Plant Molecular Genetics at the Department of Crop Science of the University of Ghana, Legon and Director of the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI), received the Distinguished Award for Meritorious Service 2013, at the July, 2014 graduation ceremony of the University for his immense contribution to his field of research and to the University over the last 20 years.
